World Championship Scholarships 2009
Philadelphia, PA Sunday, April 5 – Sunday, April 12
$10,000 will be given out in scholarships for this event!
Dancers who have participated and actively raised money over the last year are entitled to KKO scholarships for the World Championships.
The Kelly-Oster School Scholarship fund will be financially assisting all dancers for entry fees and hotel stays. When you book your hotel room, please submit a copy of your reservation confirmation/bill to Karyn to receive reimbursement for your accommodation. Each dancing family will receive at least $150 for 1 night stay per team day dancing.
We do ask that all dancers perform at St. Patrick’s Day shows & sell raffle tickets to continue to raise money for our fund. Scholarships will also be given next summer for our 2010 trip to Orland, FL for the Nationals.
Please return your scholarship form, with your hotel confirmation by St. Patrick’s Day. All scholarships will be presented at the recital on 4/3/09.
*Scholarships will be applied to any outstanding balance with the Kelly-Oster School of Irish Dance before awarded to the dancer.
World Championship Competitions
*Due to the number of entries received, it is impossible to facilitate ceili competitons in one day, therefore these will be held over two days as below.
Day 1 Round 1
Day 2 Round 2: 50% recalled from round 1 (all these teams will receive a recall medal)
Round 3: 50% recalled from round 2

Under 13 Mixed 8-Hand Tuesday 4/7: Round 1 & 2, No Round 3 Needed $150
Under 16 Girls 8-Hand Thursday 4/9: Round 1, Friday 4/10: Round 2 & 3 $300
Over 16 Figure Saturday 4/11 $150
16 & Over 8-Hand Saturday 4/11: Round 1, Sunday 4/12: Round 2 & 3 $300
